Patreon - How much is content worth?

I want to thank my clients on Patreon for making this blog possible! Ehh, let's just say I do not have a Patreon. I only have one donation key: "Buy Tobold Coffee" which has been used exactly twice in the last 3 years. So thank you both! The sad truth is that my content generally has no value in money.

I now follow many YouTube channels and the phrase about sponsorship is often repeated. What no one is saying is that there is no reason for anyone on Patreon to support this type of content, because you can be sure that the content will be created anyway. Yes, I feel sorry for the two people who donated to my blog, but their donation had no effect on my content creation. Since there is not enough reason to do so, only a few people work. Spiffing Brit, for example, has a YouTube channel with 2.66 million subscribers . Patreon has 1,111 regular members , which is only 0.04% of his followers. Smaller channels are more involved, but visitors are less than 1% of subscribers.

"Creating content for this channel" is probably a lie, so why do people no longer support creators on Patreon? Probably a factor as to why they're doing so poorly. Why pay some videos for a guy who earns $ 3 a week or $ 5 a week when you can get a basic Netflix subscription for $ 9 a month? What's more, it's harder to download Netflix for free than to download the YouTube channel for free, because free download is the default option on YouTube. It is assumed that you paid "enough" for the content shown by displaying this ad at the beginning.

I moved away from Patreon because I was afraid of subscribers. I already have Netflix subscriptions, Amazon Prime subscriptions and XBox Game Pass for PC subscriptions. I have over 100 "subscriptions" for YouTube channels (free) so I took the minimum Ptreon membership ($ 1 per month) for each of them, but I paid more than $ 1,000 per year. To watch YouTube. I would better pay $ 12 a month for the YouTube premium, but it seems too expensive to me. So I think I will put on the ads, thank you very much.

Historically, "benefactors" are rich. But most of the 1,111 Spiffing Brits sponsors, who earn 5,246 a month, are likely to earn less per month than Patreon. It's not like I're saving a few hundred dollars a month for the smaller channels, but when the creator becomes famous enough, they become poor to support the rich. Although I myself admire the donation, I do not ask them because I have a high-paying, high-paying job and I would be upset if someone gave me more money than I needed. I create content because it satisfies my desire to hold my opinion in public. I'm very skeptical about the idea of creating content as an “influencer”. It is a slippery slope when a person points out something he or she loves the most.
